Random* Blog built on Graffiti

This blog runs on software called Graffiti, a CMS system built by Telligent Systems. It is very powerful yet very simple to setup and use. You do not need to be a web developer or a systems tech to get it up and running. It took me less than four hours to get this site setup and displaying the first post and 3 of those hours were spent on updating the CSS to make it look exactly like I wanted and 30 minutes was spent writing the first post. Deploying to the web server involved nothing more than simply copying the files to the server. There was no database to setup, no configuration settings to tweak, just a simple copy.

The version I am currently running is "Almost Beta 1". From what I've heard a private beta will be available by the end of the year and the product will be released early next year. If you are interested in being involved in the private beta submit your email address on the Graffiti site.

Note: I work for Telligent so I am a bit biased, but I had no involvement in the development of Graffiti. From an end-user point of view I can honestly say that it is awesome to work with. I've already mentioned how easy it is to use out of the box. As you spend more time with it you discover the more powerful features and the ease with which it can be customized with themes, widgets, and other add-ons. I'm still learning, but things look great so far.
